We work in partnership with organic chemists from academia and industry. If we are successful in encapsulating their dye molecules, we purchase their products and use them to build nanoscale architectures. We also do not make the instruments that use these enhanced fluorophores. But we work with instrument makers to incorporate C•spec® particles in their sensor devices.

Please contact HST if you have a need for a particular brand
of dye. We would be happy to open discussions with the dye supplier of your choice. HST can provide encapsulated fluorescent dyes from Atto Tec or KPS Technologies. Both companies offer visible as well as near infrared (NIR) dyes.
For the latter, the benefits of encapsulation (enhanced brightness, photostability) are especially significant.

HST also has successfully encapsulated fluorescent dyes from Amersham (CyDyes™), Dyomics (MegaStokes) and Invitrogen (Alexa Fluor®). These companies offer excellent dyes, but they can be made even better through encapsulation as we have demonstrated in studies with academic collaborators.

Presently, we do not have a license to resell these dyes, but
we are open to approaching these suppliers and others if you have a particular dye preference and sufficient
volume requirements. 




 

   


In general, HST’s products are made with “bottoms up” approaches.  Nanoparticles can be assembled into 3-D structures in combination with microscopic components to form sorbents. Some customers utilize the nanoparticles themselves, and others want the nanoparticles to be deposited on a surface with great precision.
